SharePoint Consulting
SharePoint has been at the center of my work since 2006.
Over the years, I have helped organizations use SharePoint more effectively for collaboration, document management, information architecture, internal communication, workflow improvement, and operational efficiency.
My approach to SharePoint consulting is not limited to the platform itself. I look at how people work, how information moves through the organization, where processes slow down, and where SharePoint and Microsoft 365 can be used more intentionally.
Experience That Spans Strategy and Execution
Many consultants focus on only one layer of SharePoint.
Some focus on infrastructure.
Some focus on development.
Some focus on governance.
Some focus on training.
My background has always centered on how those pieces fit together.
I have worked with SharePoint across multiple generations, from the early on-premises versions to modern Microsoft 365 environments. That experience allows me to help with both the technical and practical sides of SharePoint, including:
- information architecture and taxonomy
- document libraries and metadata design
- intranet structure and content organization
- workflow and process improvement
- forms and automation
- governance and planning
- search strategy
- user adoption and training
- troubleshooting and improvement of existing environments
A Business-Focused View of SharePoint
Technology decisions should support the way people actually work.
That means a SharePoint solution should not just be technically correct. It should also make sense for the business, reduce friction for employees, and support the goals of leadership.
I bring experience from both technical and business-facing roles, which helps me work comfortably with:
- IT teams
- operations leaders
- department managers
- executive stakeholders
- end users who simply need the system to work
That balance matters. A SharePoint environment can be well-built and still fail if it is confusing, over-engineered, or disconnected from daily work.
A People-First Consulting Approach
I have always believed that good technology work starts with understanding people.
That includes listening to staff, identifying pain points, understanding how teams actually use documents and information, and designing solutions that are practical rather than theoretical.
My goal is not to add complexity. It is to help organizations use SharePoint in a way that is clear, sustainable, and useful.
Ways I Can Help
I work with organizations that need help with things such as:
- SharePoint environment review and improvement
- information architecture and content organization
- document management structure
- governance planning
- workflow and process automation
- search and findability challenges
- intranet planning and cleanup
- training and knowledge transfer
- SharePoint modernization planning
- aligning SharePoint with broader Microsoft 365 use
Typical Engagements
I am available for both focused short-term consulting and broader advisory work.
That may include:
- reviewing an existing SharePoint environment
- helping plan a cleanup or reorganization effort
- designing a better structure for documents and content
- identifying automation opportunities
- advising on governance and long-term maintainability
- supporting a larger internal initiative where SharePoint plays a central role
Some organizations need help solving a specific SharePoint problem. Others need a trusted outside perspective to help them step back and use the platform more strategically.
Both are good places to start.
Let’s Talk
If your organization uses SharePoint and needs a clearer structure, better adoption, stronger governance, or more practical use of Microsoft 365 tools around it, I’d be glad to talk.
